SJS Undergraduate Alum to have Article Published in Kentucky Journal for Undergraduate Scholarship

Lily Kate Thacker's article titled, "Rape Culture, Victim Blaming, and the Role of Media in the Criminal Justice System", was recently selected to be published in the June 2017 edition of the Kentucky Journal for Undergraduate Scholarship.

 "I was quite fortunate to begin my academic career at Eastern Kentucky's College School of Justice and Safety. Not only were the professors and staff generous and thoughtful, but I was also afforded the opportunity to study abroad in Cuba with Dr. Chuck Fields, Dr. Preston Elrod, and others. "After working as a journalist for 20+ years I decided it was time to go back to school and finish my Bachelor's Degree. I pursued a major in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology and studied Criminal Justice to enhance my education and experience. I graduated in May, 2016 with my BS in Psychology.
